What is UpiZone, exactly?
UpiZone is software for creating and displaying amount-specific UPI QR checkouts and payment links for your own UPI ID. It is not a bank, payment gateway, payment aggregator, UPI app or payment system operator. This describes the current service; legal classification depends on actual activities and applicable law.
Where does my customer’s money go?
A customer makes a transfer through their UPI app and bank to the account linked to your configured UPI ID. UpiZone does not receive, pool, hold, settle or remit customer funds, and does not control the external payment systems.
Are payments verified automatically?
No. You check your own bank or UPI account records to verify a credit, then approve the order. UpiZone does not independently access your bank account or automatically verify payments. Order statuses and webhooks reflect your recorded decision. A screenshot or submitted UTR is not proof of receipt.
What is an amount-specific QR checkout?
It is a checkout containing the order amount and a UPI ID you configure, so customers have fewer details to enter. The customer reviews the payee and amount in their UPI app. Creating or scanning a QR does not move money or prove that a payment happened.
Can customers use their preferred UPI app?
You can configure an eligible UPI ID you control. Customers use a compatible UPI app supported by their device, bank and payment participants. App buttons can be configured in checkout settings, but compatibility with every bank, UPI ID or app is not guaranteed.
Can I connect my website or online store?
Yes. Use the REST API, hosted checkout and shareable payment links to build a custom workflow. API documentation is available in the merchant portal. Ready-made Shopify or WooCommerce plugins and native SDK packages are not currently offered.
How much can I customise my checkout?
Set your merchant display name, logo, colours and available QR frame styles. The current checkout is UpiZone-hosted and remains UpiZone-branded. Broader white-label options and additional layouts are roadmap ideas, with no promised launch date.
What does a successful order or webhook mean?
It reflects your approval recorded in UpiZone. A signed success webhook can be sent after merchant approval. It does not mean UpiZone independently verified the bank transfer. Always check your own bank or UPI account before approving and fulfilling an order.
What does UpiZone cost?
Current software plan prices, features and usage limits are shown in the merchant portal. A subscription covers software access; it is not a payment-processing fee charged by UpiZone. Banks and other providers may have their own terms or charges.
Who is responsible for the UPI account and refunds?
The merchant is responsible for their configured UPI ID and account, eligibility, bank terms, products and services, customer disclosures, fulfilment, refunds, disputes, records and applicable laws. For a transfer or bank-statement issue, contact your bank or UPI app provider.
Are SDKs and roadmap features available now?
No. SDK packages, ready-made ecommerce plugins and broader white-label options are not currently offered. Roadmap items are tentative and may change, be deferred or be removed. Choose UpiZone based on the features available today.
